INDIANA EVANS BIOGRAPHY

Indiana Evans was born on July 27, 1990 in Sydney, Australia (South Wales).

She always enjoyed acting and began performing by the age of five in front of friends and family. By the time she was seven, she was already taking dance lessons (ballet, jazz, tap) and performing recitals in front of larger groups. Although she liked to dance, she also liked to act, sing and play drums.

In 2002 she got an agent (Kermond Management) and soon landed her first commercial (for Asguard), which aired in Australia – but that was the first of many such as Kool Aid. She also began to do some modeling as well. These smaller appearances blossomed into much larger roles.

She first appeared on a television show in 2003 on an episode of All Saints, then later that year received the full time role of Abby Oakly on the television series Snobs.

In 2004, she received her break-out role as Matilda Hunter on the popular (in AU and UK) TV series Home and Away. When her agent called to tell her she got the role, she was so happy that she began to run around her house screaming. Her performance in Home and Away brought her a nomination for the 2005 Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent – Female. She also appeared a few times on daily TV magazine show, Girl TV in 2004.

After a few years on Home and Away, she decided it was time to move on and left the soap opera in July, 2008. That year she started working on a number of small projects and appeared on an episode of “The Strip” and also appeared in two short films, Burden and At the Tatooist. In 2008, she won the Dolly Teen Choice Awards for the “Queen of Teens.”

2009 brought her a role as Kylie Watson in the made for TV movie “A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne” and also a regular role on the TV series “H2O: Just Add Water,” replacing Claire Holt as Isabella Hartley. She also lent her voice to the theme song for the series.

She finished filming the movie Arctic Blast, in the role of Andrea Tate, and it should be in theaters by the end of 2010.
